I've tried, and tried and can't make it work. Expensive flights on both major airlines, and no Plat award seat release except except for the 6am-ers in both cases, plus hotel, and a major trip of mine starting not long after. I'm copper. Have a great night. :)

Yep, I have to fly down with Qantas but there are award j seats back for me (to Darwin...) With VA the following day.
VA offered a direct and better flight in J than what I have to pay for two red eye flex Y seats with QF :(
