I'm a hoarder! It's an affliction I've suffered from all my life and one I'll carry to my grave.

In a moment of rare clarity I've decided that occupying two spare bedrooms with, among other things, airline freebies is not the most appropriate use of space. As a result I have a large number of amenity kits and pyjamas that I’d like to give away to other members.

Over the coming days I’ll post the items. Provided you have been a member of AFF for at least three months and have made at least 30 posts, you can put your hand up. From there it’s simply first in, best dressed. There is, of course, no charge but you will be required to mail me a pre-paid Australia Post satchel with your return details on it. Unless otherwise indicated a red 500g satchel for $8.25 is fine. You should then be able to jam that in an envelope and mail it to me for $1 to $2. I don’t want to post my address in the thread and because there are so many to give away, after every 10 or so giveaways I will send a joint PM to the recipients with the address in which to send your envelope. Please do so within two weeks.

About 90% of the kits are in-tact and brand new. If they aren’t and I can tell, I will make that clear in the post.

To start with each member is limited to two items. My only request is that you don’t on-sell them but either keep them for yourself or give as a gift.
Once the item is gone I will amend the thread in which it was offered to indicate such.

With the exception of the first two items that I will post very shortly, the next items won’t be offered before 10.30am WST Thursday 18 August and then in a random fashion.

Understanding the table
5+ indicates the kit is more than five years old. You may want to consider this if you’re in it for the liquids which may not be in the best condition.
If I know that the kit is directed towards male or female I’ll indicate that. If there’s nothing in the gender column than I don’t know or it’s unisex.
If I know the brand of the kit or the contents I’ll indicate it. If there’s nothing in the brand column than I don’t know (or it’s unbranded).

I welcome your opinion.

I give a significant amount of travel stuff to a homeless shelter. Every time I go to a hotel I clean out the complimentary soaps, toothbrushes and combs and they go to the shelter. In my recent four week international trip I filled up a shoebox.

My intention in offering up these kits and pyjamas on AFF is because I acknowledge that no everyone gets a chance to fly beyond Y and even less further up than J. AFF members are lovers of flying and I'd like to share some of my good fortune with them.

Now that I've commented on my reasons (and, again, I welcome your opinion) I think it would be beneficial if the discussion on who and how to giveaway these sorts of things should be left to one of the existing threads.

My wife has stacks of ours in huge martini glasses in our bathrooms, moving from Cairns heat to the Gold Coast winter was a good time to break out all those airline PJ's we collected in J over the years.

My wife had some lounge passes so gave them away to an older member here who supports AFF well, he gave them to his old parents to use as 1st timers to a J lounge who were coming from NZ (I think) to visit him in OZ.
