Hello

I'm flying in Y with AA on a QF ticket (QF flight no) and on flight details it says meal "yes" for each AA flight.
Does this mean anything - or do I have to purchase food/drink?
Last time on AA I slept right through service so wouldn't know.

Cheers

David

More importantly - what class?

Y - No meal, you may be able to buy a sandwich if lucky (I passed even though I was amazingly hungry)

J \ F - There should be a meal.

Either way make sure you have a credit card as they no longer accept cash.

Funnily enough, they no longer take green backs.

It's gotta be:
Quote:We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Diners Club [for you drron], and JCB credit and debit cards for inflight purchases.
But I fly in F(or P or A) so unfortunately no chance for bonus points.

Just got back from US.. on a couple of my AA DOM flights they ran out of food very very quickly... example.. SFO to JFK I was in row 16 and by the time it trolley got to me all they could sell me was crackers.... a 5 hr flight... Luckily I had grabbed something just before I jumped on...

There were a lot of unhappy ( and hungry) people.... including me...

I would aim to grab something before you board...

You must remember FEBO-service from the Front on Even number flights and from the Back on Odd.

Didn't know that... Have never witnessed that happening either..

Either way... by the time they got to the middle I'd still be without food.. :(

Not relevant for ljk23 as they were flying economy and service in the coach cabin is generally front to back on AA domestic flights.

Not as consistent but I witnessed it on 2/2 internal flights last month. As Last row on AA321 in F we certainly heard the complaints behind us.

Having flown in both F, J & Y with AA my suggestion is that if you are in Y with this airline take your own food, dont even bother with buying the food on board, both for quality, range and availability. My longest in Y was from SFO to HNL. Packed a heap of my own food for Mrs Batesy and myself. Muffins, rolls etc easy to buy the night before at a "drug store" or at the airport after security.
