Looking at some April travel with the most direct route being MEL-SYD-BUE and return on an I class ticket. Seems like a perfectly reasonable 480 SC for $4800 ticket with LAN.

But there also seems to be very "interesting" routing options such as MEL(QF)PER(QF)SYD(LA/QF)AKL-BUE-SCL-BUE ... seems like 1040 SC if each and every leg counts - 560 SC for an extra 12 hours each way and some options for stopovers.
- 160 x 2 for the MEL-PER-SYD and vice versa
- 120 x 2 for BUE-SCL and vice versa

Am i missing something here? Seems fine as long I get MEL-PER-SYD-AKL on separate QF flight numbers rather than just transits on a single code ???

Any help appreciated here :-)

Can't help with I class, but i've booked MEL-PER-SYD-AKL-SCL ret on a QF Sale in O class in the past(SYD-AKL-SCL on QF 320/321 LA Flights). Why not go forthe extra miles / SCs ?

Hi - just curious are you testing these bookings on the Qantas site or another travel agent site? Thx in advance
