Would anyone have any data point on whether the cancelled MASA seat(s) would reappear on QF site, and if so, how long would that turnaround be ?

I suspect it would but have no firm data.

I did cancel 2-3 so far (few months ago now) but failed to follow up to find out - sorry !

There are some threads here where AFFers give up their treasured FASA and alert others.

How did the timing go there ?

Sometimes they go back into inventory, sometimes they don't.

As a result, it's something that cannot be relied upon.

Last FASA (2 x SYD-LAX) I cancelled was returned to P inventory (both seats) almost immediately.

As Serfty says, definitely no guarantee of that happening though, and not to be relied upon....

Oh !

I wonder why they do not - on occasions - reappear.

Sales demand, perhaps ?

Put a spanner into my thinking !

Thanks

Because yield control believe they will sell the seat.
