I am wondering how long it takes for Marriott to get back to you regarding the lowest rate guaranteed?

I booked a room online at $850, then found the same room at $525. Filled out the forms online regarding for the lower rate and I am now waiting.

Thing is that the request must be done within 24 hours of booking (which I did), but I never got an email confirming that I have sent in a request for a lower rate, so how will I know that it has gone through? And if it hasn't, then I need to send in a new request before tonight unless they get back to me.

Anyone has an idea of how long it takes normally and are they any good at honouring their word?

To be on the safe side I would send in another request, certainly can't hurt.

Nice to see you as a frequent poster RoseAnna.

I have a successful Marriott BRG for a month in NYC. It took them around 24 hours. Keep an eye on the Marriott site on line, and if necessary, book it again tomorrow (the other site too has to still be cheaper of course), but don't cancel the first one until you hear back. You can hold multiple bkgs on the Marriott site. Just be sure to cancel the correct one.

Edit: Just checked my records. I submitted the claim on July 31, 2015 at 7:50 PM (AU time). They responded on Sun 2/08/2015 3:48 AM. So more like a day and half.

Great, thanks for the tip! I will keep an eye open and see what happens during the day and worst case scenario I will just redo it again.

Well, if they dont recognize my claim I will just cancel the booking and try again. I have several quotes that are about $300 lower than their lowest rate :)
Thank you for checking it for me.
