I have booking on EK0074 from Paris on 29 December in business with my wife. It departs CDG at 14.25. Originally we were booked on EK0072 which departed at 09.25 but that flight was cancelled for "operational reasons".

Am in the process of booking my chauffer drive transfer to CDG from the hotel. We are staying in the Opera District in Paris. When I go to complete my pick up time it only allows a time frame of 03.00 to 05.00. It does show my flight is at 14.25 so that part has been changed. I can not change the pick up time past 05.00 so would expect it still thinks I have a departure of 09.25.

With a departure of 14.25 would like to book at 10.00.

Any suggestions/comments how can do this?

That 03.00 to 05.00 is the time before your flight (ie 3-5 hrs prior). So if you choose 04.15 the car will be due at 10.10 or you could go 04.30 and it will be due at 09.55.

Ben6, thanks for that. After reading your explanation it is so obvious!

It is my first flight with Emirates so I was in the dark. Have checked the approx travel time from our Hotel L'Echiquier Opera and it is around 40 minutes so will go with 3.5 hour pre flight which is a 10.55 pick up.

Hopefully this is something I can get used to!

Another booking question. Have booked the chauffer for 10.55 pickup.

My wife and I have separate booking reference numbers. Can I add her to the pick up?

If I make a separate booking for her will they know that we are travelling together given same surname and hotel pick up?

I have checked the website and can not find the answer to this question. Finally we could have 4 suitcases and carry on luggage. Our daughter is having a semester at a university in France and she comes home a few weeks later so will expect will have some of her luggage. Do we need to tell Emirates that we could have 4 suitcases plus carry on so our vehicle is large enough for the luggage?

Hi Moffat, my my recent pick up, I received a phone call the day prior to confirm the pickup and to ask how many bags I had. This was from Melbourne. I don't believe you have to add your wife as they will happily take anyone from the same address. I'm not 100% on this so some confirmation from others would be good.

Hi Moffat,
The local EK chauffeur company will always contact you the day before to confirm pickup time, address number/ type of bags you have - golf clubs can cause a problem. Clearly this is so they can send an appropriate vehicle. My previous experience was that the company would call your registered phone (likely your normal mobile) but on my last trip to the UK they insisted on a local land line number (not my Aussie mobile on roaming) - don't know if this was only confined to the UK or not but it was a different from my previous experience. My parents have travelled on separate tickets as you are planning to do without difficulty using the chauffeur service but I would not assume that they will link them - though you would think that the local company would put 2 and 2 together on that one - wouldn't bounce it on them on them at time of pick-up though in case there is a space / insurance issue. Best to call the local office or have an entry made in one of your bookings while still in Australia before you leave. Hope this helps.

Hi is nearly 11.00pm Paris time on 28 December 2015. Arrived in Paris today and have not heard from chauffeur service. Had included the details of hotel in the booking and no contact with hotel either. I have 2 seperate details confirming the bookings.

My emails have details of the phone number so will call in the morning to confirm.

Our pickup time is scheduled for 10.55am Paris time for 2.25pm flight.

Any comments on how reliable they are?

Now in the Emirates lounge so can answer my own question if it helps others. The Paris opened at 8.30am and phoned them. They were very helpful. Advised me that they no longer phoned the day before and assured me my bookings (wife and I were on seperate bookings being QANTAS rewards) were confirmed. The pick was scheduled for 10.55 and at 10.30 a text came through confirming our 10.55 pick up and they would wait for 15 minutes. There were 2 texts.

Two cars arrived at 10.45 and they said we could go in seperate cars if we wanted. One was a S Class and were able to load our 4 checked bags into the boot and only took 1 car. Trip took 30 minutes and asked the driver if he had a pick up and response was no and that it was very quiet and ours was only transfer for the day. The driver was very helpful and tipped him 10 euro.

Only 2 check in counters opened for business/first and assorted status and took about 15 minutes in the line to check in.

Will now go and enjoy my Moet! (but no pate)
