There is a crime in the USA called "Second Degree Impersonation"? :?::shock:

I did notice the VIP treatment for the military on my last US trip. Priority boarding and lounge access stood out.

I have no qualms with military personnel getting an improved level of service - I just wish that they hadn't printed this article - I was off to Rays Outdoors to buy some camouflage pants & shirts and try to pull of the Anzac routine when I next fly into the States. ;)

I do have a friend, who's cousin's Saturday-school-debutante-ball partner (same school a mine, different year in case you're wondering) had a brother who dated a girl who was the daughter of a very senior US Military Official (during a few months stint they did here in Australia). I wonder if I could pull off some sort of "I am coming to visit ****** **** *******, we had some dealings back in Australia" *shake of head, touching of nose. winking of eye*

Issue is I would be seen as a fraud in a heartbeat - as I couldn't goose-step to save my life, and trip over my own feet almost daily. The cops would most certainly be called up to the airport.

I would probably be arrested for Second Degree Impersonation, with Six Degrees of Separation.

boom boom!

The article says "he was charged with second-degree impersonation" but unfortunately nothing about him being charged with being a first-degree doofus.
