Can anyone tell me if a 15 month old can be booked in as child and have their own seat in malaysia a/line? I realize I will be paying a large difference bet. 10% & 75%. Thought it may make life easier for my daughter, g'son and other passengers.

I've been looking at site emalaysia, is this the airline site? sorry to sound dumb, but a message came up saying something to the effect it wasn't the airline site.

Using my c.c., will I have trouble bookng here in Oz. for my daughter and g'son coming from England.

Many thanks,
tp

I don't see why not, try lying about his age when you book the fare!(I do it for my daughter all the time ,she is not 2 either. It's only money for the airline after all!!

It would seem that it is ok. The fare rules seem to allow for infants occupying seats. e.g.

Children age 2-11 years pay 75%. Infants 1-23 months pay 10%. Infants occupying a seat must pay the child fare. If infant turns 2 during the duration of a journey, a child fare must be paid and seat booked for the entire journey

I'm Mrs. Cautious person, so decided to call Malaysia a/line to check out my query. 15 mo. old can purchase own seat @ child price. only a g'mother (who only flies economy herself) would be so potty to pay so much more for comfort of little family unit plus everyone else.
thanks for the replies.

I'm not aware of any airlines that won't allow you to purchase a seat for an infant at a child tkt rate, it's pretty common amongst alot of parents these days who can't stand the idea of a child on their lap for 14 hours, especially when alot are deemed to big to use the bassinet.
