Malaysia Airlines Delays/Cancellations

Thursday 4 August sees MH129, the 0920 hours KUL down to MEL airborne at 1116 with A333 9M-MTG. Arrival should be at 2032 mid evening, 77 minutes tardy.
 
A333 9M-MTE on MH139, the Wednesday 7 September redeye at a scheduled 2220 hours took off at 2320 hours, so arrival in ADL (ex KUL) is expected to be 0730 hours on Thursday 8, half an hour behind schedule.
 
Thursday 15 December 2022's MH135 (A333 9M-MTN, the 2235 hours redeye from KUL down to BNE) was not in the sky until 0006 hours this morning, so FRiday 16 at gate arrival looks to be 1022 hours, 102 minutes late. The 0955 hours MH134 back up to KUL should depart at around 1200 'high noon'.

The KUL-ADL MH139 has A333 9M-MTJ with an 0831 hours arrival at gate the go, 31 late.

9M-MTG on MH149 to MEL is similar with predicted arrival 0922, 37 minutes tardy.

Northbound MH126, the unattractively timed 0225 hours PER up to KUL (9M-MTW) took off at 0359 hours with suggested at gate arrival becoming 0913 hours, 78 minutes late.

MH126 (Saturday 17 December 2022's 0225 hours PER-KUL that took off at 0553 hours with A333 9M-MTW) should arrive at about 1110 hours, 155 minutes behind schedule.

MH126, the Thursday 22 December redeye from PER up to KUL due out at 0225 hourts took off at 0351. A333 9M-MTX looks to be arriving at about 0904 hours, 69 late.
 
Porbably due to the severe thunderstorm that struck MEL at just after 1400 AEDT on Thursday 22 Dcember 2022, and water leaking onto the floors of multiple terminal areas (see the equivalent QF thread), MH148 (A333 9M-MTG, the 1410 hours MEL-KUL) did not become airborne until 1657.

Arrival should be at gate at about 2157 tonight, 152 late.
 
On Thursday 29 December 2022, MH126, the 0200 hours PER-KUL airborne at 0247 has A332 9M-MTZ. Expected at gate arrival is 0805 hours, 35 minutes behind schedule.
 
Monday 9 January 2023 saw MH123 (A333 9M-MTB, the 2330 hours redeye KUL-SYD) not take off until 0039 on Tuesday 10, so arrival is predicted as 1132 hours, 37 late. This will delay the 1240 hours return MH122 by a likely half an hour plus in pushing back.

9M-MTO on the 2235 hours KUL down to BNE MH135 is worse, having not become airborne until 0104 hours, so a 1049 hours arrival is the expectation, 129 minutes late. The thrice weekly MH134 is unlikely to depart prior to 1220 hours, 145 minutes later than the timetabled mid morning 0955 hours.
 
On Friday 19 May 2023, MH122, the 1315 hours lunchtime SYD up to KUL (A333 9M-MTO) was airborne at 1502 hours so estimated at gate arrival is 92 minutes late at 2142 hours mid evening.
 
King's Birthday (11 June 2023) sees MH122 operated by the usual ageing A333, in this case 9M-MTL, with this lunchtime 1305 hours flight in the sky at 1338 hours. Gate arrival is forecast for 2031 hours, 31 behind.
 
MH149 from KUL to MEL arrived on Friday 23 June 2023 with A333 9M-MTL at 0807 hours, seven minutes tardy. However the return trip, MH148 hasn't gone as smoothly with the scheduled 1355 hours departure becoming an 1825 airborne situation. Arrival should be roughly 0054 hours on Saturday 24, 264 minutes late.

Anyone connecting to London Heathrow would be likely to miss the 2330 hours MH2 so they may be rebooked (if seats available) on MH4 at 0950 hours tomorrow morning.
 
A333 9M-MTW on MH126, the redeye 0210 hours PER-KUL on Thursday 29 June 2023 did not become airborne until 0347 hours so an 0911 hours arrival (81 late) is the forecast.
 
On Sunday 23 July 2023, 9M-MTI is on the MH141 (0910 hours KUL down to SYD, airborne at 1032 hours). Arrival is shortly at gate at 2025, 50 late. The 2210 hours returning flight should be able to depart close to time, another advantage for international carriers that timetable longer than minimum turnarounds.
 
On Monday 14 August 2023, MH122 (1305 hours SYD-KUL, A333 9M-MTK) departed at 1306 and took off at 1340 hours, about 10 minutes late but after reaching about Louth NSW has diverted back to SYD due to a passenger creating a huge disturbance.

I subscribe to 'The Australian' but can't post the link as it's paywalled. Here is a brief excerpt:

"...Another passenger on board said all travellers had been moved to the back of the plane, which remains on the international taxiway, as fire trucks surround the aircraft.


A passenger told NCA NewsWire that the man allegedly began threatening people to not “touch his bag”.


“He was threatening people that he has a bag,” Mr Zubair said.


“He was chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and then when staff tried to calm him down he said don’t come near him or he will blow the bomb in his bag..."

Passengers were apparently complaining that 'security' had not done anything, more than an hour after the gent got up out of his seat and started asking a flight attendant 'are you a slave of Allah?'

The gent has a bag covering his chest.

Obviously a very serious situation. A 'Daily Telegraph' summary says 'Australian Federal Police is responding'.

The aircraft looks to be at the south end of runway 16R/34L, so all flights appear to be using the parallel north-south runway.
