I wondered about this when I booked a PE flight MEL-SIN last October. In the end I made a lowball offer - their minimum, though I would have liked to offer far less. My offer was accepted. But if I had tried to book a J flight with points, I would have had no hope. J wasn't full so I guess they were trying to fill seats. Bit strange considering flights to SIN would be popular surely. QF is not my preferred airline and I only booked because I had a Amex credit to use. Needless to say I was not overly impressed with my first QF flight in a long, long time. However, their ground handling was excellent. I had booked wheelchair assistance for SIN, but not in Melbourne given it is only a short distance from lounge to gate. However, they came to the lounge to find me, and assisted me with early boarding etc. So full marks for being proactive.

Yeap, and that's one of the things I like about emails on our corp network, no tracking is possible :)
(At least no tracking is possible until we open a URL in the browser, but that's a bit more complicated than simply clicking on the link, downside, we don't see pretty pictures or formatting)

If my partner finds out about this technology i'm toast! I usually just read the first email but then spend the next few days deleting the rest
 
They must have started using the Jetstar email offer system.
I searched and eventually booked a return flight with Jetstar. Since booking I've been spammed at least once a week with an email to say
"We see you recently search X to Y, there is still time to convert your search into a booking"

I'm just wondering when they're going to see that I have already booked.
Yep - nothing screams "we-are -too-cheap-to-hire-actual-experts-to-do-their-jobs" more than spam encouraging you to buy something you already have. JQ is perhaps the WORST - that's why I always use a VPN and don't log in to my JQ account when searching fares. The only thing worse than JQ spam is JQ's virtual assistant who can do NOTHING.

Good news, they've cancelled my flight due to Coronavirus and low pax numbers. The spam becomes valid again.

At least i can get a full refund... lol
