That would depend on what the female voice is trying to achieve.This is incorrect. I have personally flown two large transport aircraft (FAR25 certified) that have female voices as the EGPWS voice. One was actually a recording by the CEO of the companies wife! I actually think that the male brain responds to a female voice far more effectively than a male voice.

{FYI - I am a male - who after years of practise always manages to reverse park fairly well !!}
Last September I flew with Jetstar from Singapore to Darwin and the entire crew, including the two pilots were female. Full marks to them too.
I also know that in the mining industry, there are many women employed to drive the dump trucks as they tend to be less aggressive on machinery.
