Apologies if this discussion already exists as I cannot find it. Would anyone know how long on average QFFtake to mail out new membership cards when going up a tier?

I recently jumped up to Gold and was hoping to have my card for a trip in a few weeks where I plan on taking advantage of lounge access in LHR T5 but am suprised that after 3 weeks the new pack hasn't yet arrived.:(

Congrats on reaching Gold! :)

You should receive a kit approx 10-14 working days from the change of tier. However our Frequent Flyer team can offer an update. They're available 8am-7pm Mon-Fri on 131131.

I got mine in ~14 calendar days over the Christmas period.

14 days on the dot for me from status change to arrival of pack.

My WP is taking a while. Have been almost 4 weeks since I made it.

Please contact the Frequent Flyer team on 131131 for an update as this is unusual. Alternatively, private message me your details as reference. :)

I had made WP way early ... but would be travelling during the anniversary (2 wks prior). I rang QF. hey asked why I wanteed one 'early'. I explained I'd need the card to flash it at OW non-QF lounges as some lounges demand the card. They asked where I was travelling. The agent then arranged a card sent express to me.
They advised it wouldn't have the QF cash m/c feature ... it would just be a vanilla ol'skool card ... which is what I prefer anyway. It arrived about 4 days later.

As my new Platinum card turned up today, I can advise it was 3 weeks and 3 days* from hitting Platinum. I imagine if they are just sending a card, rather than a full kit, its a little faster.

* Experiences may vary, but that's mine.

I made WP on 27th Jan. I was hoping, but not really expecting to have my new card before I leave for Hong Kong and China next Friday. Am I going to have issues accessing lounges with only boarding passes? Should I chase up a non-cash card?

Cat207,
CX is normally pretty good, so long as your status has updated in the system you will normally get a boarding pass and lounge invite card

Interesting... I was hoping to get a LTS card without QCASH that way, but nothing eventuated :(

That said, loving the new white card I have :)

I emailed QFF cust service yesterday and got a call back just after lunch today. The agent has said they have had a recent backlog but my card/pack is on its way in the post. I thought best to pass on news of the backlog as a few others have commented here they are also waiting on their cards.......

I rang to see if I could get my silver pack (went bronze to gold too quickly). Apparently they "can't" as I'm gold...but can send me an extra set of gold tags. Rather odd.

Just received my PS welcome pack after jumping up from NB in early Jan. Took just under 4 weeks to receive my welcome pack from SCs posting and status change.

If you're really desperate for the card and are worried that any travel on other OW airlines might not pick up your new status you can always ring the FF centre/premium desk and have your new card couriered to you for a fee of ~$30.00.

Sometimes the computer systems don't pick up the new status in existing bookings. The card comes in handy in situations like this!

I was really impressed with how quickly they managed to get our PG card delivered over the year-end period... well worth $30.

Well mine arrived today. Just over 4weeks in total. Happy now have a new black tags and card

Someone else mentioned the WP tags were now 'black' like the CL ones, but they're not, they're just darker than they used to be. Got my hopes up asking for new ones in Jan.
