Hi all

I'm hoping to get some advice as I'm struggling to get in a response from Qantas.

My wife and I recently got hitched and she has completed majority of the names changing process. Both Passport and License changes have been completed as has her QFF account details.

I made 4 x Classic Reward Bookings (domestic) some time ago which has her maiden name on the tickets.

I presumed that given her QFF was linked it would automatically update, however, looking at the booking it would appear it hasn't.

Is this somethin that can be changed easily? Does it need to be changed given that all my wifes IDs contains her married name?

Has anyone had a similar situation?

If it’s only domestic I certainly wouldn’t sweat it. Personally I’d take a copy of the marriage cert if she gets asked for i.d. ( Highly unlikely).
Internationally though, it would be a very different story. The name on her ticket would need to be changed to reflect the passport.

Are these domestic or Intl?

Domestic has no ID checks. Intl the names should absolutely match. I imagine QF can easily change the name on QF flight numbers. Other carriers, I'm unsure.

Age old problem; spouse who changes surname needs to travel on Maiden/Birth name.

A new passport with married name used to be able to be changed after return very cheaply.

ISTR it cost $0 in 1991 ... not sure now.

@WillyHitch I suspect you will need to call given they already have newly named passport.
