Here is a bit of a look at the layout of row 70.

The second shot shows the legroom for the pax in 70D. Boggins!

There was a piece in today's rag in ADL about how to survive a 17hr stretch in Y. Amongst this "tips" was a yoga instructor who advised pulling up your knees to your chest without needing to leave your seat, in order to keep those muscles stretched.

Methinks they have no idea of the reality of the cramped quarters associated with flying Y and are in a denial but I"m happy to be proven wrong.;)

We were maybe 15 minutes early - until we were asked to do a few laps of a holding pattern. We ended up landing about 15 minutes late. @Melbournian1 will be able to give the exact numbers. :)

JessicaTam, from what I can see you were unduly pessimistic.

Your QF9 departed from the DXB gate at 0852 hours on Saturday 24 March, touching down in LHR at 1232 to give a nominal 1237 hours arrival, three minutes early. Well done and hope you enjoyed it.

What was our arrival time into DXB? That was where we had the hold.

For those who know my penchant for HLO, here is my luggage. It doesn’t include the items I got onboard but does include a <1kg laptop. Just under 4kg. I don’t think I can better that for a trip to Europe. :)

Oh, I did carry a jacket over my arm.

Late to the thread, I just arrived to Bangkok and watched the evening 7 News from Oz on streaming. Story on the flight departure out of Perth and the arrival into LHR. Media was on board (obviously) and did a piece to camera while strolling around the cabin. Plane looked chockablock (sp?)
Looking forward to hearing about the inaugural London to Perth leg. Keep the posts coming!

PS the feet up on the seat needs to go on the flight shaming site. Outrageous. Wouldn't go down well in the Buddhist countries in my neck of the woods!!

I have just boarded the Hex to LHR from Paddington station. I may have accidentally spent a little too much on souvenirs for my colleagues. But I do need to give them some proof of what I did.

It will be interesting to see their faces when they ask me what I got up to on the weekend. :D
