I'd be prepared to fight for my Luke Mangan Sandwich. (At least it is not quite as pretentious as the QF Fred Perry stuff!!!!)

I am more referring to the Luke Mangan wraps more than the sandwiches, which is what I was served 95% of the time when flying on Flexi fares.
They were always so cold, hard, so much lettuce all you could taste is lettuce a tiny bit of mayo, tiny bit of dry chicken, and then the wrap was sealed with a thick layer of margarine to hold it shut, which in turn made the entire wrap greasy to touch.. yuck!

But yes you're right QF dom food is not that much better, at least I seem to get a rotation of things on QF, some good some not so good. Caribbean Chicken = tasty, burrito not so good, thawed muffins = not so good, scones not bad.

I must admit the times I have flown with VA with work on Flexi fares, those luke mangan sandwiches and wraps, were absolutely disgusting & taste terrible but yeah wouldn't get abusive over it!

I don't know whether he'd actually got around to tasting it as it sounds like the argument was regarding the price of the sandwich.

While easy to joke about someone going off about bad airline food, we all do, this over reaction I suspect is because the poor sap in question has other issues beyond his control.

I wouldn't mind betting this is just another case of a passenger high on drugs & the price of the sandwich set him off. If it wasn't the sandwich it would've been another issue I'm sure. People on drugs are irrational and cannot be reasoned with.
