Luggage checked through QF dom to QF dom on seperate tickets

I’m not sure whether my luggage will be checked through, please could someone confirm.

Have QF J award flight BNE / PER. Need to get to Broome. No award flights available so will purchase the flight PER to BME. Was unable to do a multi city booking.

The best connection allows for just over an hour in Perth otherwise it’s over a 5 hour wait.

Will check in at BNE check my luggage through to BME?

There’s been times when I’ve waited 45mins for luggage at PER so naturally if I have to collect my ,luggage and rebook I’ll need to have a later flight.
