I was wondering whether any1 here knows what freq flyer can be used on a Lufthansa flights booking; the flight consists of cathay, lufthansa and qantas.

Lufthansa are a member of Star Alliance (www.staralliance.com), so there are many different frequent flyer programs where you can credit Lufthansa flights to (subject to booking in correct fare classes etc).

I don't really have an opinion on which is the best Star Alliance frequent flyer scheme - others here can give better advice.

The Cathay and Qantas sectors will only be creditable to a one world frequent flyer program such as Qantas F/F, but given Cathay's lower fare buckets don't usually earn ff points on QF, you'd want to clarify before using that.
