Today I had a credit of points to my Velocity Account.

I am not sure what they may be for.

The line item shows as "Loyalty Points":

Interesting! Was it a round number of points (ie 5,000 rather than 4,325) - perhaps it could be something akin to the QFF "loyalty bonus"?

Most VFF changes this year have been about taking away rather than giving more so this is potentially a positive sign.

Maybe it's what they're handing out instead of lounge passes.

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

It may be compensation for our 73H->73G downgrade last week ... if it is it represents full refund of the points paid (Points+Pay) for that flight for the two of us.

I have a large number of "Loyalty Points" transactions on my account as a result of sending the VA AFF rep a message regarding a decent number of missing ShopAndEarn points, so most likely yours are the result of a manual credit. :)
