Now whats next?
Thought there was going to be a lot more fanfare, but that was it.
I got to 500 QF SC because of when the bookings for flights were made, not really when flown.
A lot of my flights were made with QF prior to end of Mar 14, I might, and mean might make SG for once, I don't know as yet, wait and see, but, thats it eh?
Turn over is end of Jul 14, so the urge to chase SCs is on again, I thought I would be satisfied getting to 500, but... ahhh...
Never mind, thanks for being understanding (!), this is my first time in the SC mileage run thing, and I am in a conundrum, whether to be satisfied at PS/SG, or keep going for higher status.
Those of you who fly NOT for work, but for more so, leisure and seeing places, do you get satisfaction at QF SG? Or do you aim to go up and up?
As an aside, I never thought QF FF centre staff worked afterhours... my points shot up 26,000 QF FF and 500 QF SC all in the space of 4 or so hours.

I think loyalty bonuses are an automatic credit, rather than a manual adjustment.

As for whether you can settle at a level, in my case, no :p but I would be happy to stay at least Gold (lounge access) in the future.

Well done on the milestone. Qantas staff don't work 24/7, but they do leave the computer turned on.

How could you get status credits for making the booking?? Status credits only appear after you fly..

I get satisfaction when I can fly J or F and not need to worry about status. I have been pretty much stuck on the same total SC for about 4 years now.

I make bookings and then fly of course, isnt that the norm.
Just that I thought it all relied on when a person flew, but no, its all reliant on when the booking was made.
All flown, 500 QF SC, from my plan sheet, it seems that with my upcoming ADL to MEL several times, ADL to PER to MEL to ADL, several ADL to SYD to BNE to SYD to ADL, all in discY, by 30 Jun 15, I will meet SG.
Yeah, thought there would be something more.
But se la vie, o, and I have to tame my enthusiasm, will try not to let all this membership thing get to my head, hard as it is, relating to my multi post and multi reply in secs of each.
So, with that, lets see if I can be sane about this.
1,2,3 breath in, breath out.

Unless you are referring to any bonuses there is no difference when a booking is made in relation to status credit earn, so I really have no idea what you are meaning..

They are talking about old earning versus post 1 July 2014 earning. All flights booked on or before 29 March (IIRC) earn at the old rate regardless of when flown. Simpler and Fairer ring any bells?

Ahh makes sense, although wasn't very clear from the OP..

Truthfully, thought that there would be something a bit "more".
For those of you in the know, who have hit 500 QF SCs, you would know that all it does say, is 8000 points under bonus, and thats it.
But I guess it wasnt meant to be, not like when a person hits P1... like, its not as if I had hit P1.

When you hit platinum the activity statement doesn't say anything at all. The XT desktop computer they leave turned on in the corner just does its thing.

Of course you just get 8000 points, That's what it says you get. Were you expecting flowers too? Honestly, it's not any kind of milestone!!

It is a milestone for someone making it for the first time. Just that is a matter of personal satisfaction. As mentioned the online activity statement just does its thing for all activity.
