Hi there,
I am travelling to London via HKG on a CX/BA codeshare on a premium economy ticket. Since a career change, my gold FF status has lapsed and I'm back down to bronze (doesn't take long, does it?).
Anyway, I'd like to find a lounge at Heathrow to take a shower when I arrive and freshen up for day of museuming (just made up that word). The problem is that I can only find BA lounges in terminal 5. The pay as you go types are in terminals 1 and 3. My PE ticket won't get me into the BA lounges.

So, my question is:
Are there any pay as you go lounges in T5 that I haven't been able to find on the net?
or
Can I access the ones in T1 or T3 once I have left T5?

I would be grateful if anyone can help me.
Greg

There are no pay lounges in T5. You won't be able to access paid lounges airside at other terminals without a BP for onward travel.
Have you looked at Yotel in T4, it's landside?

That's just the thing I'm looking for Princess Fiona! I knew I could rely on you guys for the right info.
Cheers!

T5 has the Sofitel, which I hear allows you to pay-in to the gym / pool area. They also have day rooms but these are rather pricey for just a shower.

In answer to your next question, the best way to T4 would be to take the bus 490. If you're transiting within the Heathrow area it should be free (unless it's changed)

The HEX is free between terminals, and it's a quick trip down the elevators from T5. Might be easier?

Free is always good in London. I'll check out both options.
Have booked a room with Yotel, cost 32 pounds for the four hour minimum in their smallest room. Has a single bed and shower. Looks clean and tidy and they get good reviews. Oh yes, they snap an extra three pounds credit card processing fee from you when you book. So 35 pound all up if the transfer is free. I know it sounds a lot for a shower, but having landed in LHR in the early am several times before, a hot shower and change of clothes is just the thing to get you freshened up so you can make the most of your day.

I don't think T4 is directly connected to T5 by any of the trains.
Certainly not directly; there's a train from T5 to T4 via T1/T2/T3. It can be done but a train change is required.
