I have only done 2 flights in the past 2 years and I'm not quite lifetime gold, so my lounge membership has lapsed. I'll be heading to Tokyo with family in late June and have one lounge pass on my account. I'm curious to know if they always send an email invitation to purchase one before the flight, and how many points are usually needed. I couldn't find a sticky thread on this topic....
