Seriously poor service tonight by the Sydney Lounge. Despite plane having arrived from Cairns at about 9pm the operating crew were delayed by about 30 mins.

However at ~930pm Sydney lounge staff decided it was time to go home so (falsely) announced the flight was boarding and kicked us out of lounge (ie they went around ensuring people left), and without us there closed it and ran.

We got to gate to be told by the poor gate crew that the flight was delayed 30 mins. No worries. Back to lounge. Ahhh. Closed and locked door.

https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/at-the-airport/lounge/#entry clearly says the lounge closes when the last flight is called for boarding ... the flight with inbound crew has just landed but it's now about 40 mins since we were called in the Lounge. Will be lucky to board by curfew ... could be a late night. Or early morning
