And we've been climbing volcanoes this morning and swimming in hot volcano springs. Full report shortly when back to ship.

Currently doing this:

Last night we had our usual sushi and curry plates for pre pre dinner. Around 6.30 PM. For those so inclined there was an 80's music trivia in the background. We did reasonably workout actually participating.

We enjoyed pre dinner drinks which was when I finally tried Dames fav - from sex and the city. Very nice.

We then were invited to have dinner with our four friends. They were wonderful company and we had a great time solving the worlds issues lubricated nicely by our free Pouilly fume. Has a nice ring that! Both couples have chosen at this stage not to marry even though Canadian law allows them to do so.

Today - Santorini.

We booked a ships Volcano tour to get us off the ship quickly. As we are returning in a weeks time we just need to suss the place today.

Santorini is busy with ships. That one with the big aft has followed us. Plus another Celebrity Ship. And one I don't know.

The volcano tour was challenging with excellent views of Santorini.

What, a glass of water with ice????
I like the cranberry juice and lime but pity about the link to sex and the city.

Take it your 'sussing' out was successful. Seems to be a bit busy with all those cruise ships.

It's a photographers heaven here.

And I'm stuffed. Not from dalmades though.

The queue to get down on the cable was well over an hour in the sun. So we decided to go down the donkey stairs. The donkey poop was tolerable. But smelly. The steps not too bad. But so slippery.

Dame, that was a sapphire ginlet and Cosmoplitan.

It's Thursday. Must be Turkey.

Booked on a Tour of Ancient Ephesus. It's a shame I'm not versed in Christian History as Ephesus is well up there. The Terrace Houses are said to be wonderful. So I shall learn something.

Last night we had our pre pre dinner drinks on the aft outdoor bar. We cruised directly out from Santorini and that formed the backdrop.

Then coughtails for pre dinner drinks and then Pouilly Fume as wine for dinner. Plus some nice food.

A short stroll after dinner led us to have baileys on ice.

Pushka

I'm loving your TR ... are you going to put a link elsewhere?

Cheers

This is my view as I chill for a bit. So many photos to upload later. The guide awaits me.

Just did on CC. :p. See you there. ;)

I was thinking about somewhere else where cruisers would love to hear about it.

BTW, I love Ephesus ... we went there in 2006 and returned in 2013 - it looked completely different tho' of course some building such as the Library in your photo were easily recognisable.

Cheers

So on the bus after a wonderful visit to ancient Ephesus, traditional lunch and - a carpet demonstration.

I'll try post something for each picture.

Ephesus was first settled by the Greeks in around 3000BC then developed further by the Romans. It was originally a port but earthquakes have seen the ocean move 7 miles away. Climate change...

Restoration started in the late sixties and still ongoing with more discoveries.

The Romans used sophisticated terra cotta sewerage and water pipes

Amaroo you will LOVE Turkey.

Very much looking forward to our impromptu trip.

Are you going to Ephesus? It's a must.

Not on this occasion - we want to see the greater part of Turkey with our children.....this trip is ATH, IST, Anzac Cove, LHR. If we really like IST we'll be heading back with the kids in no time.
