Losing status from flight on anniversary night

So I totally forgot when my membership anniversary was and flew WLG-SYD-NRT that night, losing 140 status points. Is there any chance do you think they might credit this back if I called them or is it a lost cause? Lesson learnt!

So did you fly on the last day or your membership year? Or the first day? It sounds like the first day and you now have a start on your current membership year.

Have never heard of Qantas backdating SC earn. But Qantas have occasionally been known to comp status for another year.

SC's are posted in membership year that they are earned. If you are after the SC's for your new membership year, you are out of luck. Unless you are LTG the SC's aren't totally lost, as they are retained in your count for lifetime status.

If the flight was scheduled to leave before midnight then it should count towards renewal in your previous year.

As all flights depart before midnight, curfew in all the airports, if they departed on the last day of your membership year eg. the last day of the month, then they will be credited in the old one. Therefore you should have your status renewed, your old status will remain for a couple of weeks, as long as they are earning fares.
