Hello everyone,

Thought i should introduce myself here after several months of reading and not much writing.

A little about me:

  • Engineer from PER, working in the railway industry.
  • QFF, Velocity & SQ - all bottom tier, as i fly generally on points.
  • Saving Amex MR (Plat Edge) to transfer to SQ and fly to Myanmar and Vietnam in Jan'16. Also, using QFF points for a trip to Melbourne Hawaii in May'16 (thanks ANZ!)
  • Long term goal - Suites (Saver) to US or Europe with partner.

I feel I have more to contribute now (instead of just asking questions already asked), so you should all be hearing more from me in the future!

Seeing you are in Perth do try to join the social events that happen from time to time.
Not everything can be posted due to commercial in confidence nature of some travel ideas. It may only take one idea to get you sitting in the best seat without the pocket damaging issue.

G'day and welcome! Being a railway engineer you might be interested in the inaugural train crawl put on by BAM1748. It's an epic train crawl from Sydney to Canberra on his carriages.

Thanks, I will have to keep an eye out for the events - i have been known to enjoy a beer or two..

Definitely - will have to PM him to get the details

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

A belated welcome crocks. Nothing posted since you joined in May? I'm sure you have something valuable to contribute to the various forums.

Hi fellow newbie. I have also lurked for a while -- but since collecting a gazillion points and not knowing what to do with them I'm here to learn. Cheers!
