Jnr CorporateFlyer (no status) is flying QF Mel/LHR in Y and then connecting BA LHR/FCO in J.

Understand Jnr will have lounge access in LHR - but are there any other OW benefits, such as being able to check in at J counter in Mel? All on same PNR.

Nah. In theory there are benefits availability with the reverse (i.e. flying a short flight in Y before a long flight in J) but even then getting them honoured can be not worth the hassle.

Baggage etc. is based on Most Significant Carrier which will be QF. Seat selection, no benefit on BA even for J so that’s moot.

Until Jnr’s next onward flight is in J, QF will treat them as Y.
