I’m not sure if it is the same as Internet Explorer? But it definitely hasn’t launched, which is odd that it’s launching for you, perhaps there a script on the site that only works on Windows?

Launched for me (FF3.6.12 & iTunes 10.0.1.22). Not sure if it's an iTunes or browser setting. I like the site though so thx for the link.

I’ve personally used the Barcelona and Paris city guides (in those cities) and found the map interface on them (when you have a connection) to be very poor. Quite often the image would stick when dragging my finger to move the map around and basically it was very annoying. I wondered why you couldn’t use the Google map like in the Maps application, is there not an API?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure. I work on the actual guidebooks themselves and not in the digital dept. But I can pass on feedback and it will be well received as they are always trying to improve their product.

The 'nearby' and map interface on the older-style apps was actually a lot better and more user-friendly. I don't like the new style at all.

The Melbourne guide is out of date - mentions a couple of places that no longer exist.

Overall I like them, but I'm not sure they are worth $7.99. I'd like to see replicas of the actual books on the iPad - that I would pay for.

I paid for the '1000 great experiences' on the iPad and it was a dismal waste of money.

I'd also like to see an app of the LP site (with the TT forums etc).

I'm an LP fan, but I think the apps could be improved.
