London to Edinburgh Road Trip

Figured that that but best to confirm
OT, but not sure a digital DL is uniformly accepted interstate. The Services NSW apps says “accepted in most states” but fails to mention which ones don’t…🤷‍♂️

When I first got mine (ages ago - I was in an early trial postcode), it was not possible to use interstate at all, let alone OS.

Bring some tissues/babywipes etc to clean the bugs from the windscreen.
In the whole of England not one service station had a window cleaning bucket.
The response after asking where it was, was normally "But someone will steal it?"

I just did 2 weeks there and got one tiny sprinkle of rain so the bugs had built up, every other trip must have been wetter...they are whinging about a "drought" over there...haha!

No detergent in the cars washers either so that wasnt shifting them.

Also copped a Parking Fine at a hotel, many require you to put numberplates into the system...the receptionist must have messed it up my instance. Some places have an ipad type thing to do it yourself as well.

Indicating is as common over there as here...there is a national shortage of indicator fluid...and lanes on roundabouts are completely optional.
ENJOY!

and you pay for air as well - couldn't believe it

I have been to servos in Aust where they keep the nozzle behind the counter, but never been charged for air...yet.

Had one time in UK a while back where hire car was a flasher model with tyre pressure alarms, alarm goes off in roadworks section on the motorway, felt fine still so no choice but to keep going anyway until next exit.
Found a spot to pullover and checked by eye and a kick, all tyres look ok.

Went to a small village nearby but couldnt find a service station or any mechanic type shop the came across an AA Man (Auto Club) having a coffee in a layby and asked if he had a tyre guage. He lent me the guage and I checked them, all were 30PSI and good, he said a lot of this type of car they go off when you hit a pothole or something. he looked up the car on his phone and then said "turn key off, hold demist button and push brake 5 times" or something to reset it and it worked.

Drove 400 miles more back to LHR.
