Promise I’m being completely apolitical in this post.

LITL -: Chris Pyne and Bill Shorten face to face on 7:30. Why are politicians so much more likeable, personable and funnier once they’ve left politics?
I think it is like any employee once leaving their employment (barring preclusion times for talking about secret squirrel stuff ) for example I can actually call someone a moron when they say dumb things about subject matter I was an expert in . Previously I would have to politely explain how the system could help them

I love the fact that more and more steaming services are doing cheaper version of monthly fees with ads . :) Though I will have to say our steaming services for a variety of services
Netflix
Disney + (just rejoined today )
A few Asian steaming services
Britbox
Paramount plus
Amazon prime (in our defence that was so handy for quickly needed medical bits for husband on occasions )

Waiting on a deal for HBO (husband wants to watch The Pit)

All those are still cheaper than twenty years ago when we had a far more restricted service via Foxtel

And some of them really are steaming! 💩 😉

Not the same but similar. We have no grass on own property but Brisbane city council mandates the adjoining owner must maintain the small strip of grass between the property and curb.

Bought a battery mower, lawn edger, hedge cutter and blower in a package plus some spare batteries for less than $400.
Does BCC also ‘mandate’ that the, what I assume is quite small, ‘nature strip’ remain as grass @AuSammy?

I’d have been tempted to plant a ground cover and been done with it - something native so one and done; no upkeep or mowing required.

Do others just concrete or paver that section?

Last time I looked a couple years ago.....

Mandated it is grass or an "approved" plant - groundcovers, bushes etc - listed on their website.
No trees, only council can plant trees.
No hard improvements allowed, e.g. pavers, retaining wall, steel edgers, sleepers, pebbles, rocks or the like.
