I would not call myself a health nut, but I do appreciate having a good workout, especially when I'm travelling and have been out of my normal routine of cycling to work everyday. You could imagine my surprise when I visited the Gym at the Sofitel Melbourne only to discover they have swanky Peloton machines with live classes. Upon further examination I came across the following Accor site which lists over 50 properties in Australia that feature them (in the Conditions of Sale link). Now I could be mistaken, but I suspect Accor properties which feature a Peloton bike likely have a more enhance gym than your usual dumbbells and treadmill and so I thought I'd start this thread to discuss properties which feature a decent workout facility, based on the list:

Would be happy to hear the community's thoughts on which Accor hotels have a good gym!

Unless they've changed them recently, I'm pretty sure Movenpick Melbourne doesn't have Peleton machines.

Depending on where one travels regularly, a gym membership that has reciprocal access or a National network is the way to go rather than relying on hotel stuff. eg Fitness First lets you access any similar gym. I’ve stayed at the MEL Doubletree (yes, not Accor) many times and wished they’d knocked a hole through the wall to allow direct access from hotel to the Flinders St gym!

But otherwise, still nice if the hotel has decent facilities.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I reckon that could be fixed with a sledgehammer. Plus you get a nice cardio workout too! 😂

I am also keen on gyms. I have a full power rack at home which lets me do squats / bench press safely, and always look for one in gyms I stay at (as I don't have a gym membership). Most hotels don't - their fitness centre is mainly smith machines and dumbells. And no full length barbell, so can't do deadlifts either.

Two Accor ones I have found are :

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth allows access to the SOMA gym across the road (but will need to check after the renovation)
Pullman Melbourne City (Swanston) - they have a full rack and pretty decent gym with pelotons, etc.

If anyone knows any others that would be great, or ones with a commercial gym nearby that allows walk ins

The Novotel Perth Murray Street does have a decent gym (for a hotel gym), though I haven't checked the brand of the cardio equipment.
When I stayed at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre about a year ago I didn't check out the hotel gym but was told by reception that I also had access to the Virgin Active in the neighbouring building.

2 euros reward for a Peloton workout!

There is now a single Peloton machine here! (it looks nearly brand new)
