Linking QFF number to AF booking

Has anybody else had trouble linking their QFF number to an existing AF booking? I belatedly realised that QF status will mean certain perks (extra checked bags, priority boarding) when travelling on AF. It’s a short flight I’m taking but the extra bag will come in handy. Whenever I try to change the FF program in the AF website it doesn’t stick, and I can’t see how it can be done on the Air France app. I’ve had my QF details added by messaging the AF twitter team but I can’t confirm the change had been made and my baggage allowance is the same.

Qantas reciprocal relationship with KLM/Air France (2020 onwards)

I flew AMS LYS last week with KLM. It was a reward booking with Flying Blue miles. I could input my QFF number (WP) and Mrs chrismars too (gold) at time of booking. From there, my booking was always showing my flying blue number (used for the reward flight) and I couldnt change it back to QFF...

Best option unfortunately is to call AF call centre and get them to do this in the back end. Also it appears to work at/after you have done online check in.
