I have a DONE4 paid ticket whilst Mrs Pyffii has an rtw award J ticket ...Even though a WP/Emerald couldnt preselect seats together on BA from HKG-LHR-MUC which I have always thought was weird as travelling together...Anyway today called the premium desk and was again told BA dont allow pre seating for award bookings when someone whispered into the agents ear, I was put on hold and hey presto Mrs Pyffii was allocated seating next to me !!!...Well done Qantas premium

I was able to pre-allocate seats for BA and AA flights on an award booking for both myself and my father, who has no status whatsoever, but I guess this was possible as we were both on the one booking....

For pre allocated seating it appears true that it must be on the one PNR but BA seem to insist that award booking passengers cant preallocate...But as JohnK says if its on the one PNR then it is possible...At least so far my wife and I are seated together...Wonder what will happen on checkin in 6 weeks time..Fingers crossed

I believe BA have a spot where you need to check that you have authority to act for all affected passengers
