Hello everyone, I am flying on a international Emirates flight in April out of Melbourne. My father has the Qantas Club Lifetime Membership. He is not travelling with me. Do you think it would be possible for them to let me in if he wrote a letter or some other way? Thanks for your help!!

Solution
Even if it was your father traveling, he wouldn't be eligible for access:

"Each time your next onward flight that day is on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number you will have access to:

  • ...
  • Emirates Business Lounge in Dubai..."

Even the Qantas International Business Lounge (which your father is eligible to access when he is travelling on Qantas) wouldn't let you in even with a note or anything else as you're simply not eligible. He would need to be travelling with you and would need to invite you in as his guest in order for you to gain entry.

Don't get me started about life time qantas club members. when i joined i was entitled to 40 airline different lounges. That was reduced to 3. Now its only 2 or 1. Qantas should have given us automatic FF life time Gold status.
There is the seat preference scam, as a QC member I am entitled to to a window seat, but to secure a window seat you have to pay extra. or you will end up with a E seat on a 787
