I'll tell you how I go. I dropped down to LTG after 10+ years as WP (a really low SC year, so no comp for me!) 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing yet.
domestically not a lot of difference, but internationally LTG worth a lot more. Two of the kids have got QC life and it used to be amazing, but now pretty minimal unless travelling in the USA.
Yes and don't forget your passport. The security is very strict here. And only those who love Tassie are allowed to come in.
Kpc asked last year for a pro rata refund of their LTQP and Qantas wouldn’t.
Pro-rata refunds would be for annual/multi-year memberships not for lifetime memberships.

. KPC had a lifetime and requested and was refused. Of course one could try the HUCA approach, but one would hope with monetary refunds there would be a consistent policy. Ths reminds me - I must apply for a refund of Mr FMs unused QC membership.
Yes I had considered this but decided it was not worth chasing as the lifetime QF Club was funded by free NRMA shares when listed on stock exchange.
Hopefully your KA flight earns with QF...I felt like a newbie when I realised my HKG-PEK flight on KA would not earn anything even though it was combined with a very expensive QF flight!
Was it just not booked in an eligible booking class?
