Have just yesterday booked tickets for QF1, SYD-LHR and then BA548 LHR-FCO.
All booked on the one booking on the Qantas website.
The Minimum Connection Time at LHR between Terminal 3 and 5 is 90minutes.
I have 95minutes between scheduled arrival time of QF1 and departure of BA548.
Questions:
1) I don't really understand how Minimum Connection Time works, but given it was all booked under one booking on the Qantas website and this flight connection was offered, does that mean that if something happens it is their responsibility to get me on another flight? i.e., Qantas won't have sold me a connection that wouldn't normally be able to be met?
2) Given that they are on the same ticket, when I check in for QF1, will I also be checked in for BA548?
3) Given that they are on the same ticket, will my bags be checked through to FCO?
I have pre-selected seat 48A on QF1, so should be able to start running sooner if needed!
Thanks.
