Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I am moving to the UK (hubby is there already). We have bought prepaid (or pay as you go) with Virgin, and 3 - for our mobile phones to make calls to Australia, and use 3 microsim on my iPad. While their rates are cheap, we have found another cheaper company which we are now using - it is called Vectone. The only problem was that we could not walk into a shopfront and buy the Vectone sim cards. They have to be ordered from their website (and the sims are free) - and I don't think they will post to Australia. Then we bought vouchers from supermarkets to use (just like we could buy amaysim, virgin, vodafone or 3 vouchers in Australia from Coles or Woollies, or petrol stations). With Vectone, the calls to Australia is 1p a minute to landline numbers, but more expensive to mobile numbers. The website for Vectone is www.vectonemobile.co.uk. When hubby was in the UK, he also bought a sim card from another company www.lycamobile.co.uk - however with this one you can only make calls, no internet. If you have a smart phone, then it is better to go with a 3G network, so you can get emails on the go, and emails do not eat up the bytes (in fact emails use very few bytes).

Thanks, I'll have a look at 3 when I arrive (hopefully there are plenty of shops around).
The Oyster card arrived in today's mail, that was quick considering this time of year!

Hi there

If you are travelling to Farnham then you can use your Oyster as far as Surbiton, a Off Peak Day Return (after 09:00) from Surbiton to Farnham will cost £10.00.
You will need to touch off and then touch on on your return the Oyster card at Surbiton. There are 10 trains an hour between London Waterloo & Surbiton, and 2 trains an hour from Surbiton to Farnham, so you should be able to connect with minimal waiting.

Cheers
