Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I am curious what is the least number of SCs attained, where QF will comp the f/flyer to Platinum for another year.

I think mine is pretty good at 280, but I am sure many out there can beat me.

I changed to AAdvantage around June 2006, so really hadn't posted much to my QF account since then, except for the following:
BA LAX-LHR J 140 SCs (as this flight is worth nothing to AA)
BA LHR-CAI J 80 SCs (mistake posting by airline)
BA LHR-WAW J 60 SCs (another mistake, that I couldn't be bothered chasing)
Total SCs = 280
I was expecting to go down to QF Gold for 2008, but am very happy to have QF Plat until end 2008 instead. The letter makes it clear that this is a one-off comping by QF.

I believe there are some AFF members that have been comp'd platinum with 0 SC for their membership year, courtesy of the extensive # of SC they have accummulated in previous years.

I know of some (including me) who had Platinum renewed with significantly less than 280 ;)

Good though to see that at least some people are getting comped again (particularly with 280 SCs) after the start of the year where it appeared the comps were being pretty restrictive.

adrian.
What were your SCs in the years prior

I think it was around 1500-1600 SCs in 2006. I remember being not too far off Partner Gold at the time. I think that 2005 was my first year as a Platinum, and I think that I was Gold for a few years before that. My lifetime SCs are approx 6100, not enough for Lifetime Silver at this stage.
