Le Méridien Lindeman Island Resort and Spa will debut in Queensland’s Whitsundays in 2027, following a new deal inked between Marriott International and Singapore-based real estate company, Well Smart Group.

The property will open in September 2027 following a $60 million transformation of the former Club Med site, and will be managed by La Vie Hotels and Resorts, as announced last year.

It and many others only closed after Yasi, 2012, although most struggled after the airlines exited ownership with P&O running a few for a while.
