I am looking to book flights from SYD to MCO with Delta. The layover in lax is only 1.5 hrs. Is that enough time to go through immigration and get to the next flight?

One the way back the layover is only 1 hr.....not sure what is going on. The flights are all under one ticket so I assuming that if there is any delays Delta is the one that is going to suffer.

Has anyone done anything like that before with such a short layover?

MCT is 70 mins Int to Dom, 45/60 for Dom to Int, all good.

1.5 hours is not really enough for comfort but as it's all on the one ticket you will be accommodated on the next flight should you miss it.

Travel insurance will cover the cost of meals and/or hotel should you have an extended stay in LAX (check your individual policy for the length of time before benefits apply).

On the way back, transfers DOM->INT are fairly 'easy'... there's no passport control. But security lines can be an issue.
