LAX Showers?

I know that this question has been asked in the past but things do change over time and I also have a special set of circumstances.

I will be flying QF to Lax in a couple of weeks. Will have 3 and a half hours before flying on to San Jose. The onward flight is a QF code share and metal is with Alaskan and it flies out of terminal 6. When I get into San Jose, I have a meeting in barely an hour of arrival and would prefer to freshen up and have a shower in LAX rather than not all (which is on possibly the cards)

Does anybody know if there is anywhere one can get a shower at TBIT on land side? I understand that none of lounges at terminal 6 have showers - I am OW emerald and also have a Priority Pass.

Normally when I go to the US, my onward flights are with AA and there is no problem as such. Would be grateful for any suggestions/advice.

With PP you have access to both the AS Boardroom and UA "United Club" at T6.

I believe you can also access the "United Club" at T7 being linked airside to T6.

Finally, the landside 'Relax' lounge at TBIT is a PP lounge.

Unfortunately none of these lounges are showing as having showers.

You can buy a day pass for the Delta Sky Club lounge in T5 (US$50) which has showers. T5 is linked to T6 airside via a tunnel.

Thank you do much for this. I never realized that there was an airside connection between T5 and T6 even though I have been in T5 a good number of times. The Delta lounge in T5 is excellent and has good showers. It will be worth the $50 to get sorted out at LAX.

If you have a bit longer layover (5-6) hours, another option is to visit the 24 hour fitness on West Century Boulevard, and get both some exercise and a shower.

In 2010 I was flying SYD-LAX overnight, then LAX-BOS overnight. I was able to walk down the road, do a workout, shower up, and relax for my next overnight flight.

A day pass cost about 20 bucks for non-members- the one down side was that they didn't provide towel hire (you could purchase one if you needed).

Just recently completed a trip to the US. Driving back from San Diego to LAX, I decided to detour to Huntington Beach for a quick swim. Couldn't find any showers at the beach which didn't worry too much as I was a Virgin Platinum member, hence assumed I could shower in the Virgin lounge. How wrong I was, not only was there no shower in the Virgin lounge, there was no showers in the terminal. It was a very uncomfortable flight
