Flying CX in J. Am MH and QF gold, therefore one world sapphire. +1 flying QF Y exiting same day. My reading of the rules says as a oneworld sapphire I can take her into the lounge with me as she is on a one world flight ( QF ) on same day.

Correct??

To get this right, you are both departing from LAX at the same time, you're on CX, your friend is on QF?
All you can do is ask, and the worst they can do is say no.

Yep you are correct. I am going through to China, wife back home to BNE. Flights about an hour apart.

That is also how I read the rules

  • Emerald and Sapphire members may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld carrier.
