I am flying LAS-LAX on AA.

Have to wait about 6 hours for a friend to finish work to pick me up. Does AA let you access their Admirals Club or Flagship lounges by showing WP card without boarding pass?? When I arrive, I won't clear security yet and no check in bags.

Or is there a transit hotel where I can book a room for 6 hours?

thanks

Chucksta

The AC/FLounge is after security and you can't get thropugh security without a BP.

I think Chucksta will be arriving into T4 on AA, so he will already be airside (being a domestic arrival) so will have physical access to the AC in T4 without having an onward flight - but that doesn't guarantee he will be let in. I have used the T4 AC/Flounge as an 'arrivals lounge' in the past before a TBit departure later in the evening. It was a few years ago before the TBIT lounge refurb started, and I cannot remember if I had to show the T4 staff my QF BP for later that night or not.

I expect that without an onward flight that day, they would be within their rights to refuse access - on Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Benefits & Privileges, it states:
Access is only available before travel on the same day on eligible flights that are both marketed and operated by a oneworld alliance airline. Marketed means that there must be a oneworld alliance airline flight number on your ticket.
but I have always found the AC staff to be very accommodating of requests from OWEs, so it would be worth asking

My misinterpretation - I wondered why it seemed like a strange question. I really should post on complex issues at 5AM...
