Can anyone help? I'm trying to find out if there are any stand alone Qantas lounges at LAX.

I've been looking at the Qantas website, oneworld website and LAX Airport website I am very confused.

From my research it looks like there is a joint oneworld lounge at Tom Bradley and a joint AA/Qantas lounge at LAX Terminal 4 and no stand alone Qantas lounges at all??

Or have I got it completely wrong???

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There are no 'stand alone' QF lounges at LAX.

At TBIT there is the shared One World Lounge (QF, BA and CX are the main 'tenants'), with J and F areas, accessed via elevator immediately after security. It works and feels much like a regular QF lounge, and it does get crowded prior to a QF flight. A bigger lounge will be available after the new TBIT termiinal is finished.

At T4 it is an AA lounge, which QF shares. There is a regular lounge as well as a F lounge.

As long as you have access, you can use the quieter AA lounge in T4 prior to a TBIT flight - see here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....flyer-program/qf-tbit-pax-using-aa-48723.html However others have found issues in doing this.

Ahhh clarification.....thank you RooFlyer for your quick response.

Maybe Qantas (and all airlines for that matter) should review their websites and make the information a bit more accurate/clear.

Hell, I'd go round the world to all the airports and cross check/update all the information on their websites for them if they gave me free J flights !!

Small clarification. At the T4 lounge, QF does have an actual presence. At the entrance counter, there is a QF sign and you can check any Qantas related issues at that point. I imagine they are only there during the periods when QF flights depart.

Simple question - in December I'm flying J on Qf12 to LAX - is there a OW lounge I can access for a couple of hours on arrival, before going through security (I'm connecting with an Aeromexico flight 5 hours later and want to hang out)? Thanks.

QF12 to LAX?

If you mean QF11 then no, there is no QF / OW lounges available to you. You will arrive at TBIT, and you'll be forced to go via immi which will dump you out curbside. From there only T2 will let you past security as the QF / AA / OW lounges are all behind security at T4 / TBIT, and in the US you must be traveling from that terminal to be able to get past security. (I do believe they will make exceptions in the event there is airside access from one terminal to another)
