I remember in years gone by there were few options for domestic lounge access at LAX. We are going through in September business/first with a 3-4 hour wait for a domestic flight. Our choice of airline may be determined by lounge access. Any suggestions welcomed.

All the large US airlines at LAX have lounges there.
US Domestic lounge access varies a lot, and can depend on how long the flight is, where it is going, if the aircraft is 2 or 3 cabins, if you have the right sort of credit card, etc.

Do you have status with any non US airlines? It might be easier to figure out lounge access based on partner airline then other US lounge access rules.

What status do you have (if any)?
What route are you flying?
Do you have anything like Priority Pass?

Bear in mind that flying Business/First in the US does not generally give you lounge access. If you don't have enough status to get it (or a membership to the relevant lounge program) it's typically only when flying transcon (eg: LAX-JFK) or connecting to/from an international flight in a premium cabin.

We have no status and will fly in (J) with United using points and probably pay for the ongoing (J) 2.5hr leg.We do have Priority Pass
