Is this a good one?? I saw this in a news letter.

Buy 1 UA Int'l Ticket, Get 1 Free
=================================
United is offering Mileage Plus members 1 free coach ticket for
every United international first or business-class roundtrip
taken between July 9 and Sept. 14.

The freebie is a Mileage Plus award ticket, valid for
international roundtrip coach travel. Award tickets are
transferable and must be used between Sept. 15, 2003 and March
31, 2004.

There's no limit to the number of free tickets that can be
earned.

Registration is required, at http://www.united.com/internationalfree
or by calling 1-800-447-6772, promo code 793.

And yes, the same trip that qualifies for this promo counts
toward United's "Fly Three, Fly Free" promotion.

As somebody else commented on another BB:

"If you are a UA flier in J or F Intl, would you be interested in a mere "free" coach trip"...probably unless you fly your PA, wife or mistress in that seat on your next trip after Sept 14. :D

Appears that you can't accrue lots of tickets and "swap" them for upgraded award seats. (maybe we can work out for UA how many Y Award seats = 1 J or F seat??) I'd plump for 3YA=1JA and 7YA=1FA

I am more interested in knowing if there is any catch in the pricing of these Business class tickets. Are they some high priced buiness class fares that you can only buy from UA direct?

I really don't mind travelling business for work (on office expense) and use the economy later for a personal holiday. To be honest, I go to sleep within 30 minutes of take off and get woke up only by the meals.

I have a list of aircraft and Airlines that I prefer not to travel with UA as one of them.
How can you really trust an airline's maintenance practices when they've cut back so much?
With that said I put Sing. Air. in the same list where they only get new aircraft and none of their LAMEs have had more than 5 years experience with any one airframe.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
