A little last minute, but I am getting a new poker table soon and figured it might be a good way to break it in before we all head up to munitalP's for the first NSW Poker Evening (Yes, the MEL one is still happening sometime I just haven't gotten around to planning it yet!)

As I have a small apartment, and the table can only seat 12, is anyone interested in a warm up evening on the 16th or 17th? I know wijomas is in town so i'll try and drag him along too :)

I am Silver (Maybe).

If I am in Melbourne I will come. but the events of a rather difficult conference call at 03:30hrs AEST today suggest that I will not be around.

17th works for me, I think I get back into MEL from SYD around 7pmish. Happy to head straight from the Airport to drewbles' house.

Friday might be a little tricky for me as I've got to be up at 4am the next day...

We may be struggling for numbers. I have a friend in town next w/end who knows how to play, so we'll have some people. I should even have my shiny new table (It's going to the upholsterers on Tuesday to get a new layout)!

I believe wijomas is in town?

As an ammendment to the above, I might be able to make this.

right. i'm making an executive decision :)

I may or may not have a poker table but that does not mean we cannot play cards.

wijomas is indeed in town (I'm sitting with him now). I also have another friend from NZ in town who likes poker.

So, I make that as:

LiamR
penegal
me + 1
wijomas

That's 5. That's more than enough to have a fun game. If there's others of course, we can accommodate more.

Shall we say 6:30pm? I can provide ice and some mixers, and some nibbles but BYO other stuff and feel free to bring food.

Does that work? :)

*edit*

Just spoke to boss who i'm buying a table from. He's not sure if it'll be ready but he's kindly agreed to drop off another table for us to use so yes, we have a table capable of seating 12 in total.

And at the hope of tempting more people, here's my fresh-off-the-factory-floor poker table (courtesy of the awesome people at Pub Poker/Imperial Poker Tables :p)

Perfect table for a warm up for the SYD event next week (and it'll feature in the MEL event, when I actually end up spending more than a week here to arrange it; travel schedule is a little insane atm).

.

Does that mean Wijomas will have to provide his own coke and chips.;)

Melbourne is just a bit too far for a poker game but I am looking forward to next weekends BBQ and Poker night in Sydney.

penegal

I'm getting a bad feeling about Saturday :p Should I bring my borroca??

Yes, that would be a good idea, unless of course it is included in the catering pack.

I should work out if I am coming or not on Saturday.
