Has anyone been to the above and are they reccommended?
We went to Hayman in Nov/Dec and loved it.
I used to work on Hamilton Island and we went in May but just stayed in the private units - is Qualia any good considering we went to Hayman just over a month ago?
I found Orpheus and it sounds great except I am terrified of water, it seems much like a mix of Hayman and Longitude 131, but I am not sure if we should bother with another Great Barrier Reef island - they sell themselves on their food though.
Longitude 131 is something I have been interested in for quite some time but this is a last minute trip for my partners birthday so water is preferred by him and given that its the weekend until tuesday next week that he has off I don't want to be stuck in a blistering hot desert.
Any other suggestions?
Flights to TSV are reasonably priced, but when looking at the total cost of the package I then considered going overseas.
We are both QFF's and Bronze with about 40k points between us.
We are going to Hawaii and Gold Coast in Feb, went to malaysia and Singapore in October/Nov so I want to do something special and different (which is hard when holidaying has become run of the mill) but I didn't want to spend 5k for 3 days.
Cook Islands was a fave of ours but flight length and stop over times makes for little time on the ground, so QLD was looking good for total holiday time but I don't want to pay $1400 a night on an experience thats easily gotten or much cheaper somewhere else etc etc.
