I have a 4 hour layover in LAS shortly. Flying Y to LGW with BA and am QF WP. Do Oneworld Emerald/Sapphire members have access to the "Club at LAS" in T3?

It is listed on the oneworld site as a BA lounge but almost everything else I read seems to suggest access has nothing to do with airline status or boarding class. Anyone know?

Where are you connecting to once you arrive? I've never found any lounge in LAS that I can access (Also QF WP). If you're heading onwards with AA, there's a few places around the D gates you can hang around (and wifi in Mc Carran is free). It's not great but it's far from the worst airport i've had to loiter in (and I've spent a *lot* of time loitering in LAS!).

I'm connecting to the Gatwick flight from a domestic flight. I'll try my luck at the Club with the Plat card but it doesn't look promising.

The Club Airport Lounges

I don't like your chances unfortunately. It's possible that BA have an arrangement for their J/F travellers, but there's certainly no OW entitlement (AFAIK, the lounge in LAS is the old UA red carpet lounge in the D gates). The OW site says it's a BA lounge in T3, which is the international terminal (so it'll be post security airside).

Of course, you can always buy a day pass or use Priority Pass if you have one.

OW elites don't have access to 3rd party lounges.

No AA lounge in LAS.

That's a bit of a rash generalisation. Sometimes, OW elites can get access to 3rd party lounges by invitation from the airline they are travelling on. That doesn't mean they get granted access to the said lounge under OW access rules ( so couldn't access it if flying on a different airline). So for OP wouldn't it be worth asking BA staff at LAS if they get access to the lounge, given they are flying on BA?

Amex platinum charge gets you into a couple of lounges at las vegas mc carran, check the website.

Also, the free priority pass memberships that comes with the Platinum cards gets you into the club.

BA do tend to follow oneworld rules and it is quite likely they will make arrangements for a oneworld emerald travelling economy on BA access the lounge they use, even if third party. This has been true in Europe and elsewhere

You can use the lounge if flying BA, I did last year. But it's honestly not worth it. Poky, dreadful beverages, awful snacks. I lasted 10 mins then had a drink in a regular bar, and went for a massage in the pay spa. A one hour massage wasn't too expensive and was actually really good. I reckon it's one of those locations where non-lounge is a better option.

I tried to get in last month but the person at reception was clear that as far as OWE is concerned, if not flying BA, no access.

Agree, OWE didn't get me anything, being in the middle of town you should be able to time getting to the airport without having to spend too long there - and it's not a bad airport anyway in terms of bars and... entertainment ;)

That's pretty standard in the USA these days with BA lounges - the lounge at LAS is accessible airside from the AA gates (although it's a bit of a hike); it would be inundated.

You can also pay (USD35?) for entry to the lounges as well.

There is a "United Club" in T1 that permits PP access as well.
