Landing scare as 747 slides - Travel - smh.com.au

An Air France Boeing 747 arriving from Paris skidded off the runway while landing at Montreal's airport, but no one was hurt, Air France and airport personnel said today.

The accident took place just before 6pm today, said Stephanie Lepage, a spokeswoman for Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

The plane was carrying 490 passengers and 18 crew, she added.

490 seems a lot of passengers....

Don't worry, after the YYZ incident a few years ago and a few other AF minor incidents the Canadian press (and public) has quite a few views on AF.

A true auditor would probably have commented that it was not materially misstated if the fee was right.
